Local artist born 1894 in Barmouth died 1979 . Apprenticed at 17 years old to Coalport as a ceramic artist. Studied at the Coalbrookdale School of Art under W. H. Gates. Served in the WWI. Studied at the Birkenhead School of Art and then HammersmithSchool of Art. Exhibited at the Royal Welsh Academy and the Royal Cambrian Academy. Founder member of the Meirionydd Artists
